Move Along

Finally! I put a down payment on a 2007 Scion xa yesterday. It was easy as pie. Frogkisser, Duckling, and I went up to the U to take Paige's text book back and we decided we would check out the Mark Miller Toyota place again. I test drove a Yaris. It was nice but it was like 4,ooo dollars more then the Scion. I was already set on the Scion so nothing could change my mind. After the test drive I signed up and was cleared for a car loan. I will receive my manual, black sand pearl, complete with ipod capability and room for five, with great gas mileage, Scion, in about a month. Now I need an ipod for the car. I am broke now but I finally have a nice car after a year with no car. Yipee!
Everyone at the Mark Miller Toyota place is so so nice. Not pushy at all. I recommend them for all car buying. If you are thinking about getting a Benz... Forget about it and go to the Toyota dealer downtown. Great service! I am going to miss them. Shucks. I would show everyone a picture of my car but everyone knows I have no idea how to post it.

I am so glad I only lived through five years of the 80s( and I do not remember much)

Tonight I am going to apply for a job at the University of Utah hospital. There are so many CNA jobs open that it would be almost impossible for me not to get one. Eww... That would be embarrassing if I did not get a job. I need to get a car before I actually get a job that is far away. It is so nice having a job that is only two minutes away from my house, but I think I have been there long enough. I need more money and a change of atmosphere. This job has pros and cons ,but in the long run, I think it will have more pros. I guess I should wait and see if I actually get the job before I even talk about it.
Yesterday at work I got bit on my pinkie finger by an old lady. It hurt so bad. I did not know what to do. It felt like she might break the skin all the way to the bone. She let go and of course I have no sign of it ever happening. Not even teeth marks. I never get battle scars. Also yesterday, I went to the gym and worked out in the cinema center thing. What a great idea! I just kept going and going on the machine because I wanted to see what happened even though I have seen the movie before. It was fun.
Tuesday I bought Animaniacs. Finally! I found it at Wal-Mart. If anyone would like to watch it with me just call me. It would be the most fun.

Lisa: Dad, what's a Muppet?
Homer: Well, it's not quite a mop, it's not quite a puppet, but man... [laughs hysterically]
Homer: So to answer your question, I don't know.

Smile...because life sucks

Nothing exciting is going on in my life that I want to talk about but I thought it was time for a new blog. I was a little tired of seeing the last blog. As I am sure everyone else was tired of seeing it also. I am one week closer to getting my new car. Not sure when it will be but I am still a little bit closer. In other news, the one and only great thing that happened last week was Benji won the So You Think You Can Dance competition. He is a cutie.
It has been one week and six days since the last time I took a swig of coke or dp. Thank You. Thank you. I almost caved in on Friday night but I ended up making the right choice.
On Sunday, I decided just to smile and not think bad about anyone. Turns out that it made me feel happy and better about myself. Imagine that. People noticed too. I never thought that I did not smile. Very slowly but surely I am trying to be more positive and outgoing.

Happy V-J Day!

Some people refer to it as V-P Day.(Victory in the Pacific) On August 9th, 61 years ago, the allied forces dropped the second atomic bomb(Fat Man) on Nagasaki. In the United States, V-J Day is actually on August 14 because of the different time zones. The emperor of Japan announced the end of WWII on August 15 Japan time. The formal surrender took place on the USS Missouri September 2.
I know that this picture is not going to show up on my blog. That is so dumb. Well, it is the famous picture of the navy man and the nurse kissing in Times Square.
I have decided to put a Simpsons quote on every blog from now on. Here is the first quote. Well actually the third one. I have posted two previous quotes before. Here it is:
"I have gone back to the time when dinosaurs weren't confined to zoos."
- Mr. Homer Simpson

Does syrup have sugar in it? Then yes.

This is the second time I am typing this blog. I was almost finished and then I just lost all my work. It happens to me almost every time. You would think I would have learned my lesson and saved it half way through or something. No, I never learn.
Anyway, lets try this again. Yesterday I paid 15 bucks to go on the sky coaster at Lagoon. We bought our tickets. Jessica bought two tickets so she could go on it once with Spencer and Chaylene and again with me and Josh. They went first and we stood and watched. It made me nervous because I knew I would be going on it soon. About an hour later we were standing in the line waiting to go on the sky coaster. Spencer wanted to go on it again so Jessica decided to go with him instead of us since he needed another person. It was Josh and mine turn to get suited up. Josh was really nervous. I think he thought he might throw up since he was a little sick already. We got hooked up to the cords and was told to link elbows and hold onto our own wrists until the after the first swing. Then we ascended to the top. I do not know how high it was at the very top but it was freaking scary. As soon as we got up there I heard the lady at the bottom say, "...fly." I was like, "Already? We Just got up here." Josh pulled the cord and we started flying towards the ground. After about three seconds of falling gravity caught us. It was such an odd and glorious feeling. It was not scary anymore. After about the second swing we unhooked elbows and stretched our arms out and flew. My legs were shaking but it was so much fun. I could see Paige and Kishori at the bottom waving. When we came to a stop we unhooked and unsuited. We watched Jessica and Spencer go up. Paige said that she could hear Josh screaming but not me. I am so glad I did it.
In October Spencer, Chaylene, Jessica, and I are planning to go sky diving before Spencer goes on his mission. We will see if it even happens. But I am one step closer to sky diving.

"Well, get out the crayolas and color me tickled pink"

Yesterday, as I was getting in the shower, I heard a very loud roaring noise. It sounded like a very big motorcycle going down the street. I looked out my bathroom window and saw the lights of a small plane flying right above our house with a helicopter following it. This was freaking me out just a little so I went outside to see what was going on. Will was out there talking on his phone and he said the plane just missed the telephone wires. I thought to myself, " Nothing strange can happen until I see who gets voted off tomorrows episode of So You Think You Can Dance" The plane came back in the opposite direction and this time it was higher, slower, and the helicopter looked like it was on top of the small plane. I just waited to hear a crash and see smoke come up from the ground. Nothing happened so I thought whatever I am getting in the shower. I guess it was just a plane spraying for mosquito's. Nothing to worry about. That is a little boring.
