Red, white, and pink!

I love this time of year! When the isles in the stores become red, white, and pink. It is a glorious thing. Flowers, gifts, and candies will be exchanged between loved ones across the country every February. No one knows the real truth behind this romantic holiday and how it came to be. One legend states that a certain priest named valentine would perform secret marriages between young lovers against the emperor who outlawed marriage for young men due to the war. When Valentine's actions were discovered, the emperor sentenced him to death. Another legend suggests that Valentine sent the first 'valentine' greeting himself. While in prison, it is said that Valentine fell in love with a young girl, believed to be his jailers daughter. Before he was put to death, he wrote her a letter, which is signed 'From your Valentine', an expression still popular today.
whatever you believe, Valentine's is a great holiday that adults and children can celebrate. Only twenty days left and I better see some smiles on some faces. Happy Valentine's Day!

I think you mean aisles and not isles. Unless you know of a store that is completely surrounded by water....

I love those kind of stores! I'm proud to say I fixed all of emmy's links except yours frogkisser. I changed it, but it must not have saved the changes, so, once again, I will have to work on that. I'm getting better. Give me time. It's all about progress.

I rather enjoy your lovely picture of white. I don't much like the holiday, not since we stopped getting candy out of it, but it's a good time of year to buy candy. I'm sure there is occasionally an aisle surrounded by water in a store, but plumbing would probably be the reason for that. I'd like to see the other option though.

They're there now for some reason. They'd be better dancing on sunbeams.
